AMSOIL V-Twin Synthetic Transmission Fluid is specifically designed for bikers who prefer a dedicated transmission fluid over a multi-use lubricant. Its frictional properties deliver smooth shifts and it helps quiet transmission noise, letting riders focus on enjoying the ride. V-Twin Synthetic Transmission Fluid is Warranty Secure and will not void your motorcycle's warranty. I was originally using the severe duty 75-140 transmission lube. After switching to the synthetic V-twin , I have harsher shifts and a harder time finding neutral.

Transmission fluid for Harley Davidson.

I use this in my 13 Harley Davidson 6 speed. Noticeable difference when shifting. Smoother, quieter eliminates much of the shifting to 1st gear clunk along with finding neutral easier.
Also designed specifically for transmission. Another wise choice if you want your ride to last.

Stop using standard oil for your transmission

Even though Harley says you can use the same oil in all 3 engine sections, why do that when you can have a fluid specifically tailored to your tranny.

This is the first time I've used anything other than Amzoil 20/50 motorcycle engine oil in the transmission of my 2013 Harley Davidson Streetglide. I noticed right away that it shifts smoother. Especially after the engine and transmission are running at their full operating temperature. When I'm at a stop light and idling in neutral, If I pull in the the clutch and if I hold it for a couple seconds before shifting into first gear and it just slides right in as smooth as ever and doesn't even make a noise. Overall it just shifts smoother, I'm glad I took a chance and switched to this.

I have been using Amsoil for a long time on many different motorcycles. Amsoil has a keep it simple process, if you need oil for engine, transmission or primary just order for that specific place.

I use Synthetic V-Twin Transmission Fluid in the transmission on my Harley-Davidson Heritage.
I believe you need to use a lubricant that is made for the specific job it does. I don't believe you should use engine oil in transmission or primary chain case. Each application has different requirements for lubrication.
It would be nice if a color was added to the transmission fluid. It is difficult to see the clear fluid level on the transmission dip stick.

Saving Those Clutch Plates

I know most of the big bikes these days are engineered to be hammered on without worrying about breaking down too fast for wear and tear. I prefer to baby my equipment as best I can though. I appreciate the crazy money these things are worth and so far Amsoil is the best reassurance I have for my investment and preventing it all from wearing way too fast. The little magnetic bolt in the Harley transmission case comes away clean when I use this stuff, so that tells me it's doing the job right. I'll keep using as long as that's the case.

Love this product

Bought a 2011 cop bike with 70000 miles on it with all the stock Harley fluids in it. Did a 10000 mile service, all 3 holes. When I rode the bike with the new tranny oil it was a new bike, got neutral easily, smoother shifts, it feels like it coupled with the primary fluid makes it easier to navigate the cone course, much smoother.

Motor oil in the engine, transmission fluid in the transmission. That has always been a no brainer for me!

Probably a good product but too thin.

I was using competitor's 85/140 Hypoid in my Harley's transmission and switched to Amsoil transmission fluid. It was immediately apparent that it's too thin. The gears were clunkier and loud. After 1000 miles I switched to Amsoil Severe Gear 75/140. Problem solved, back to quiet and smooth again. Will stay with Amsoil Severe Gear.

Smooth Gear Shifts

I can't believe how much easier the bike shifts from gear to gear since I changed to this transmission fluid. It is a real noticeable difference.

Great Tranny Fluid

Changed the fluids on two holes (Crank & Tranny) on my 2016 Harley Softail Deluxe. Used Amsoil fluids for both. This was the first fluid change I personally did since the factory warranty at 1,000 miles. Factory had used some other synthetic fluid which was an improvement from non-synthetic. But what an incredible difference after doing my own and switching to Amsoil. My moto seriously runs much cooler and the tranny feels great when shifting. I fell in love my bike all over again. Plan on continuing to use and will soon try out the Amsoil primary fluid.

I will use this in my Harley forever more

This really made a difference with the loud clunking when I shift gears.
I first used Red Line and it sounded quieter the first couple times riding after oil change but got back to loud clunking, I tried Amsoil and after 2000 miles I am very satisfied and will use this from now on.

Trany Oil for 2016 Harley

Jury is still out....Florida winter is mild so this gear oil is doing fine,we'll see what happens when we get 90 degree days and the bike really runs hot....shifting smooth and finding neutral in the summer months is what I'm after!!!

No more "thunk"

Switched to a dedicated synthetic Transmission lube, due to the OEM Synthetic taking out the double roller bearing on a long trip so I learned my lesson and no longer use one in all three. Noticeably less noise, easier shifting and longer life than OEM, and the RED stuff they put in when the transmission was rebuilt in Canada didn't even last a day before shifting was hard and noisy.

Great stuff so far. Shifts smooth and quiet, noticed a difference about three rides after change. I believe it had to coat the gears and linkage for a while to take full effect. will continue to use it from here on.

Works Great Easy to Find Neutral

Switched over to this trans. oil from a 75w140 to be closer to OEM specs for viscosity in a 2015 Softail, and am happy with shifting and performance (easy to find neutral etc. and probably getting more oil to the bearings). Was so impressed that I'll try a few more Amsoil V Twin Products.
